Aides est la première association de lutte contre le VIH/SIDA et les hépatites. Présente dans de 70 villes françaises, Aides s’engage à respecter l’identité culturelle, la sexualité, le mode de vie, les appartenances idéologiques et les choix thérapeutiques de chacun.
L’objectif de l’association est de diagnostiquer les 30 000 personnes séropositives qui ne le savent pas, pour qu’elles soient mises sous traitement et deviennent « non contaminantes » afin de mettre fin à l’épidémie.
A Laval, l’association Aides porte le CAARUD qui est le centre d’Accueil et d’Accompagnement à la Réduction des Risques pour les Usagers de Drogues.
Le CAARUD est ouvert tous les jeudis de 16h à 19h. C'est un lieu où l'on peut trouver du matériel de sniff (roule ta paille, serum phy...) ou de fume (kit crack, feuille d'alu...). C'est aussi un lieu pour échanger autour des pratiques d'injection et de consommation à moindre risques. L'usager peut demander du soutien dans les démarches administratives, pour l'accès aux soins et aux droits.
Aides est ouvert tous les 1er et 3ème mercredis de chaque mois, de 17h à 20h, avec entretiens individuels de réduction des risques sexuels, avec ou sans dépistage du VIH ou du VHC (Virus Hépatite C).
